"In the spring and summer of 1916, three children were herding sheep
near their home village (Portugal). They claimed to have experienced

and pierced by the burning rays of the sun". According to her's account,

a miracle for the last of her apparitions on October 13rd,
so that all would believe. What happened then became known
as the 'Miracle of the Sun'. A huge crowd, variously estimated

and rotate like a wheel. Witnesses gave widely varying descriptions
of the 'sun's dance'. Some reported that the solar phenomenon
